HelioVolt is an Austin-based private company developing next-generation solar energy technology. HelioVolt will bring to market a process based on rapid thermal annealing and anodic bonding that allows high-performance copper-indium-gallium-selinide (CIGS) films to be deposited on just about any substrate. HelioVolt's FASSTT process is the fastest and most effective way to manufacture CIS (Copper Indium Selenide), the most reliable and best-performing thin film material for generating electricity from sunlight. HelioVolt's FASSTT technology is available to manufacturers who want to apply CIS coatings in custom shapes, sizes, and tints to create power generating steel, metal and polymer roofing, and architectural glass.

Venio Capital Partners provided bridge financing to HelioVolt in July of 2004 prior to syndicating a Series A capital financing round with New Enterprise Associates (NEA) of Menlo Park, CA. in June of 2005.
