Brian Grigsby
Managing Partner

Brian Grigsby is a founder, managing partner, and co-investor in Venio Capital Partners. Brian pioneered Venio’s early stage funding model as an active investor beginning in 2002 after selling his Semiconductor Software Company to Applied Materials in 2001.  Brian has an extensive technology and operations background and is actively involved in management consulting and board advisement roles associated with Venio’s interests. 
 
Prior to running his own technology startup company Global Knowledge Services (GKS), Brian spent 10 years in the Visual and Telecommunications Industries holding various Engineering and Product Development management positions.  During his tenure at VTEL Corporation, Brian had significant responsibility for a multi-million dollar, multi-site development organization, which included research and development of new technologies related to VTEL’s $100M line of video conferencing and telecommunications products. 
 
Brian received his bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Oklahoma in 1989.  After a brief stint at NASA, Brian undertook graduate studies at the University of Oklahoma completing a Master’s of Science - Engineering Physics program in 1992.
